I really need to learn that it doesn’t matter how good and balanced it feels on my head in the 10 seconds I wear it when trying it on. I always need to add combs to keep it in place, that goes for wigs, hoods, anything that needs to stay in one place on my head. My hood seemed fine while prancing in front of the mirror, but it slowly inched its way backwards and sideways while at my grandmother’s. I’ll be sewing in a comb in the future.
When we got home we took a few photos in the living room… so the blinds and curtains were a little distracting. I tried to dumb them down as much as possible.
Last night I finished my sewing room!
Since my TV isn’t in the corner by the light anymore, I realized I could put my dressform in that little open area next to my wardrobe, and it frees up a lot of floor space in my office. So much nicer than having it in front of the closet doors. The only downside is that now it’s constantly backlit by the corner light in photos. So maybe I’ll just move it out for photos.
The second pic there is where I tried one photo without the overhead lights on. I hate the overhead lights (make everything look yellow) but looks like I need to have them on anyway.
My potions jars…
The beads-in-the-cute-jars was a thing I started several years ago, not long after we moved in. I was tired of having them in the plastic drawer thing where they would constantly spill if I so much as looked at the plastic drawer thing. For Halloween two years ago I printed off some free Harry Potter potion jar labels, and taped them onto the front of some of them for our Harry Potter decorated entryway. I’m going to go back and tape them down a little better, and I’ve printed off some more, so now they will all have cute labels.
And just a random picture of my thread shelf.
Now that it’s all clean, I plan on getting some work done on Merida (maybe finish it?), try to get the serger threaded and maybe fix the problems on the pink Belle?
